Selina sister’s art accolade

The sister of TV presenter Selina Scott is celebrating her success in the nationally acclaimed BP Portrait Awards 2011.

Fiona’s entry – a self-portrait – is one of only 55 pieces of work to go on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Her painting will be on display to the public from June 16 to September 18. Her artwork was chosen from more than 2,000 entries. It shows her wearing a leopard skin print coat, holding a cup half-full of coffee.

She said: “It’s a huge accolade to have my portrait chosen for such a prestigious exhibition.”

Fiona is married to a farmer, Mark Wainwright. The couple have four children and live at Sproxton, near Helmsley.
