Several appliances tackle mill fire in Bradford tonight

Fire crews are at the scene of a major mill fire in West Yorkshire tonight.

A number of appliances are at the six storey, Laisteridge Mills where 50 per cent of the roof is thought to have been ravaged by the blaze.

An aerial ladder platform and large hose reels have been used to tackle the fire which broke out shortly before 7pm tonight (Friday).

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that fire crews from Bradford, Shipley, Fairweather Green, Odsal, Cleckheaton and Stanningley as well as specialist teams attended from around the county but just four appliances remain at the scene on Listerhills Road
