Shares deal as sales fall hits Zoo

MEDIA software group Zoo Digital said its chairman Roger Jeynes has bought 100,000 shares in the company.

The Sheffield-based group said the Zoo Employee Share Trust had bought an additional 150,000 shares.

Last month Zoo reported a half-year loss after Hollywood studios reduced the number of DVDs they produce. The company also warned that full-year results won’t meet the board’s expectations.

Zoo said that while encouraging progress is being made in ebooks and publishing, the changing dynamics in the home entertainment industry has hit the company’s financial performance.
