Video production firm Digifish has filmed a new TV commercial for Mark Hill Hair.
York-based Digifish traveled to Manchester’s bespoke Hotel Gotham to shoot the latest commercial.
Gemma Dickens, marketing manager at Mark Hill, was responsible for the project and was on location to oversee the production. Digifish’s creative director Paul Banks directed each scene.
The commercial will feature on celebrity TV channel E Entertainment and features models from Manchester based J’adore Modelling Agency, who were styled by Mark Hill’s hair and make up artists.
Mark Hill has invested in video production over recent years as part of its online marketing strategy, but this is the first time it has embarked on a TV commercial.
The firm said Hotel Gotham made an ideal location for the advertisement as it has a “cheeky twist“ with bedrooms featuring plush pink armchairs and pillows.
Mr Banks, who is also the lead guitarist and songwriter for the band Shed Seven, said: “We’ve been working with Mark Hill for the last three years producing online content, and it’s really exciting to be on the journey with them as they grow the brand.
“They’re now at the point to venture into creating commercials, which is a brilliant opportunity to bring our experience of creating TV commercials for brands such as Sony and Richer Sounds to the table.
“The Mark Hill team wanted to create a fun and vibrant lifestyle commercial, so it was important to get the casting and location right and the Gotham Hotel was the perfect fit for us.”
Based in Yorkshire, celebrity hairdresser Mark Hill is the only stylist outside London to win British Hairdresser of the Year twice.
