Sheffield man’s death ‘no longer suspicious’

THE death of a man in Sheffield last weekend is no longer being treated as a suspicious incident.

South Yorkshire Police said following an investigation, the death of the man on Lindsay Avenue is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers on patrol in Parson Cross, Sheffield, attended an insecure house and discovered the body of a 50-year-old man inside.

The investigation has determined that no offences have been committed and a full report will be presented to the coroner in due course.

A post-mortem examination has taken place but police are not able to confirm the cause of death at this stage.
