A SHEFFIELD prisoner who is serving more than seven years for robbery has absconded from an open prison.

Andrew Taylor left HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire, where he had been part of the way through an 88-month jail term after being sentenced in February last year, police said.

The 25-year-old is described as white, 6ft 2in tall, with brown eyes, of medium build with short brown hair.

Derbyshire Police said Taylor’s last known address was in Sheffield but he has links to Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call police on 101.
