Shopping mall lands store with Cult following

ONE of the UK's fastest-growing fashion retailers is opening a store in Hull.

Cult Clothing – best known for its Superdry brand, a favourite with celebrities such as David Beckham – will be taking up the 9,000sq ft space at the front of St Stephen's which has been empty since the centre's opening in 2007.

The new shop should open in time for Easter.

St Stephen's centre manager Jim Harris said: "We're absolutely delighted that the deal with Cult has been signed and sealed, following intensive negotiations to bring this commercially astute, forward-looking retailer to Hull against some stiff competition.

"The team have done a great job in showcasing the benefits that the centre and the city have to offer."

Mr Harris said the centre is now 90 per cent let.
