Show of strength at the Armouries

Some real men of steel are appearing at the Royal Armouries Museum during the half term holidays, including strongmen Glenn Ross and Stephen Cherrie, who were yesterday taking part in a tug of war event.

Visitors to the museum in Clarence Dock, Leeds, experienced the battle of the Celts against the Saxons in the show, as four of the UK's strongest men went head to head.

There were competitions throughout the day, featuring four strongmen including the current UK champion Jimmy Marku and Scotland's strongest man, Louis MacLean. They will also be at the museum again today.
