Simple Minds to rock forest at summer gig
ROCK group Simple Minds will play before thousands of fans at an outdoor gig in a North Yorkshire forest, it was announced yesterday.
The veteran rockers, best known for Alive and Kicking and Don't You (Forget About Me), will play in Dalby Forest, near Pickering, on June 24 as part of a nationwide tour.
The gig is being organised by the Forestry Commission and will be the latest of a series of summer concerts which have included performances by Paul Weller and The Beautiful South.
Tickets for the Simple Minds go on sale on Friday.
