The Bridlington Classic Pop Singers, a 40-strong ensemble of amateur vocalists whose number includes a window cleaner, an accountant, a lorry driver, a nurse and a retired publican, have carved out a fund-raising niche in the world of entertainment since 2007, charging no fee to perform for a range of charities and good causes.
Their latest concert to raise funds for the Bridlington branch of the RSPCA, last Thursday, at Emmanuel Church in Bridlington, raised £359.
The group is aiming to top the £40,000 mark by mid-May.
Anyone who would like to stage a concert to raise money for charity should speak to secretary Sue Waldron on 01377 255 204 or email her on [email protected]
The group covers all areas around Bridlington and Driffield, and often beyond.
