The two American Army personnel asked to sing alongside The Soldiers in a "personal show of solidarity" for fellow soldiers worldwide. The Soldiers comprise Gulf War veterans Sgt Maj Chilton and Sgt Maddocks, plus L/ Cpl Idzi who served in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the 20th Armoured Brigade.

The five are due to record a new version of the song Coming Home today at the Metropolis Studios in west London to be released in the US later this year.
