Sir Bobby's cancer 'team' pride revealed
SIR Bobby Robson's widow Lady Elsie said setting up an anti-cancer fighting fund was "like managing a team again" for her late husband.
Sir Bobby, who would have been 77 this week, opened the cancer drug trials centre at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care in Newcastle a year ago.
The Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre shares its birthday with the man who was so instrumental in raising the money required to equip it.
Lady Elsie said: "My husband was very proud that this centre carried his name. He put so much into fundraising..and I think he enjoyed managing a team again."
