SLIDESHOW: Chris Porsz inspires YEP readers to capture the streets of Leeds

We asked you to send us your favourite pictures of Leeds - and here's what you came up with.

Inspired by some brilliant images sent in by street photographer Chris Porsz, the YEP invited readers to get snap happy themselves.

Roundhay resident Steve Evans sent in the first image, which shows a man riding a small-wheeled bike through Granary Wharf just before midday on July 24.

The second image documents a very windy day in Leeds and it was taken by Steve Jones.

The third picture was taken in Halton by Jon Rollinson-White.

The pictures by Mr Porsz (shown at the end of the slideshow) were taken when he returned to West Yorkshire five years after he first took a striking collection of images in Leeds as part of a tour of British cities and European capitals.

Kitted out in a “good pair of shoes” and armed with food, water and his trusty camera, he spent around 10 hours in the city, taking - and deleting - hundreds of photographs.

Mr Porsz’s early work from the 1970s and 80s was captured in the book, New England, depicting the people and culture of Peterborough.
