Small rise in traffic after tolls cut
Overall vehicles were up 1,989 a week after tolls were halved for cars, compared to a week last April.
This equates to a rise of around 3.5 per cent. Traffic has to increase by 36 per cent over four years for the books to balance.

Hide AdSteve Parnaby, leader of East Riding Council, said they could use money from reserves and there wouldn’t be any need for tolls to go up until 2016 “basically whatever happens”. He added: “My gut feeling is that I don’t think we are going to see the massive increases that were predicted.”
