Snapshots from the world’s remotest locations on show

HIS work is famous for capturing the rugged and beautiful landscapes across the North of England.

But renowned photographer Joe Cornish is showcasing his work from across the globe in a new exhibition at Nunnington Hall, a National Trust property near Helmsley in North Yorkshire.

Cornish travelled extensively overseas during the last two years to some of the world’s remotest places, and the exhibition, called Tales from Planet Earth, is a photographic record of his journeys with 30 images from locations he visited including Africa and Asia.

The general manager at Nunnington Hall, Mollie Dodd, said: “Joe Cornish is the National Trust’s foremost photographer. He has worked with us for over 25 years on commissions to photograph many of the trust’s properties, landscapes, coastlines, people and events.

“We’re delighted that he is able to share his latest work with us at Nunnington Hall, documenting his travels around the globe. Many of the images have not been shown together before, so this will be a great opportunity for our visitors to get a view of the world through the eyes of Joe and his photographs.”

The exhibition began on Saturday and will continue when the National Trust property opens each weekend through until Sunday, December 15.
