Snow go for sports pitches this weekend
SPORTS pitches in Leeds will remain closed this weekend, despite the expected thaw.
Leeds Council said that because of the “continued ground conditions and further severe weather expected on Friday”, all council-managed sports pitches would be unavailable for use this weekend.
Further snow is expected across West Yorkshire on Friday afternoon and evening, but will be followed by rain and milder weather from Saturday, accompanied by gales.
