Soldiers set exam record

JUNIOR soldiers graduating from Harrogate's Army Foundation College have achieved the best set of exam results in the training centre's 12-year history.

Every soldier achieved a level two diploma in information technology while almost 90 per cent completed a similar qualification in application of number and communication skills.

The College's Chief Instructor, Major Jane Hunter, said: "The junior soldiers have worked hard and they understand the relevance of the maths and English to their future Army career."
