South Yorkshire stretch of M1 reopened after full closure
A stretch of the M1 in South Yorkshire which was earlier closed in both directions by the police has this afternoon been reopened.
Police closed the motorway between junctions 37 and 36 over concerns for the safety of a man on a bridge.
Traffic was brought to a standstill and Highways England have warned that despite the motorway being open again there are still long delays in the area.
