Stadium to boost Help for Heroes

OWLERTON Stadium in Sheffield is set to hold a charity night next week to raise money for Help for Heroes.

All funds raised at the event, on Tuesday, April 20, will go towards the Personal Recovery Unit in Catterick which treats soldiers injured in action.

In addition to the evening's greyhound racing, guests will also see a military free-fall parachute operation by the 4th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment.

Many army officers will be attending, as well as soldiers who have been injured in the line of duty and benefited from the work done by Help for Heroes.

John Gilburn, managing director of Owlerton Stadium, said: "So many of Yorkshire's soldiers have come back from war with life-changing injuries and it is really important that we are here to support and help them as much as we can."
