Staff tied up and robbed at working men's club

Masked raiders who attacked and tied up staff at a working men's club before fleeing with cash are being hunted by police.

The three thieves targeted the Ackroyd Street Working Men’s Club in Morley at 1.30am on Monday, February 27.

Three male members of staff were clearing up at the time when they heard a banging on the front door.

When one of the men answered he was confronted by three men armed with a knife, a hammer and a screwdriver.

All three victims were assaulted but none were injured.

They were tied up and demands were made to open the safe.

The robbers then stole cash from the safe and also took the victims’ mobile phones.

Police have only released details of the incident, but detectives are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries into the incident and would like to hear from anyone with any information that could assist the investigation.
