Stars revive War of the Worlds

Gary Barlow has taken a lead role on an update of the celebrated War Of The Worlds album to be released in November.

The Take That star has taken on two of the most famous songs, originally performed by Moody Blues singer Justin Hayward.

Barlow tackles Forever Autumn and The Eve Of The War, with its famous line “the chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one – but still they come”.

Others involved include Joss Stone, Maverick Sabre and Keighley-born Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, who also appears in a stage version of the musical, based on a story by HG Wells.

Actor Liam Neeson has taken the role of The Journalist who narrates the story.
