AN exhibition showcasing designer and metalworker’s David Mellor work has opened in Sheffield.

Cultural historian Sir Christopher Frayling, a former chairman of Arts Council England, opened David Mellor: Steel and Light at Sheffield Hallam University’s Institute of Arts Gallery. It celebrates the 100 years since the development of stainless steel and commemorates the 50th anniversary of Mellor’s Symbol range of cutlery.
