A sting in the nail
Fundraiser Rick Marshall will get right to the point of charity work this weekend, when he treks from Doncaster to Scarborough, bedding down for a rest on nails.
Mr Marshall, 51, is carrying out the challenge despite suffering from a benign brain tumour which meant he had to give up his job as a security guard and dog handler.
He was due to set off from Doncaster station this morning and said he planned to rest on the bed of nails when he got tired, but has also been offered rooms in hotels on the way.
