Strange sights for town parade...
This slightly bizarre scene was photographed during preparations for the Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade, which is taking place today.
Hundreds of people, working as individuals and in groups, have made costumes, giant puppets and mobile art works to parade through the Calderdale town from 2pm, signalling the start of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival. The parade, which is now in its fourth year, is presented by a not-for-profit company made up of local artists and organisers.
This year’s theme is food, or as Hebden Bridge prefers to say it: Yum, The Fabulous Feast.
