Striking 'Visitor' in Chatsworth garden on exhibition trail

INTERNATIONALLY recognised artists and sculptors have installed their work in the grounds of a country estate for the latest in a series of exhibitions.

The Beyond Limits event has been staged at Chatsworth House for the past four years, and most of the pieces included in the event are for sale through auctioneer Sotheby's.

This year artists including Damien Hirst, Manolo Valdes, Lynn Chadwick, Analdo Pomodoro, Marc Quinn, Suboda Gupta and Ju Ming have provided work for the exhibition.

A Chatsworth spokesman said: "As it enters its fifth year, Beyond Limits is firmly established as one of the leading events in the artistic calendar. The exhibition attracts serious collectors as well as thousands of art-lovers and everyday visitors."

The Chatsworth House Trust and the Devonshire family have commissioned contemporary sculpture for display in the

105-acre garden since 1995 as a year-round attraction.

Beyond Limits runs for seven weeks and visitors will be able to see the exhibits by buying a standard garden ticket from the Chatsworth ticket office which costs 7.50.
