Students with a passion for fashion

FASHION students at Leeds College of Art have raised almost £8,000 to stage their graduate fashion show after funding for the annual event was cut.

Over 30 students have been raising money by doing sponsored events, including scaling Ben Nevis.

Students are taking samples of their work to Graduate Fashion Week in London from June 10 to 13 as a teaser for their own event at the Left Bank Centre in Cardigan Road, Leeds, on June 14, from 7pm.

Students Winnie Ip, 22, and Samantha Haythorne, 21, have raised £400 in sponsorship as they set off up Britain’s highest peak, Ben Nevis, yesterday.
