Students to work at Indian Games

STUDENTS from a Sheffield university have been given the chance to work at the Commonwealth Games in India through an exclusive deal.

Hallam University is the only institution in the world to broker an agreement with the games and students were selected following a competitive process.

The 29 journalism students will work in the Commonwealth Games press and broadcasting centre, supplying information to more than 5,000 media representatives attending.

Daniel Young, 21 and from Sheffield, will also guest edit the education supplement of The Times of India.

“This is the opportunity of a lifetime and this amazing work experience will really help me to stand out when I look for my first job,” he said.
