Stunning photos show planes landing at Leeds Bradford Airport in wet and windy conditions

It's the first real 'wet' day of the record-breaking British summer - and pilots could be forgiven for forgetting what a rainy runway looks like.

Photographer Danny Lawson was at Leeds Bradford Airport this morning to capture the departures and arrivals at the rain-affected terminal.

Watch: One of the world's biggest planes lands at LBAPilots also had to contend with high winds - which are predicted to reach 50mph in some parts of the country today.
