Summits of achievement

Runners pitted themselves against three of the highest summits in Yorkshire – Penyghent, Whernside andIngleborough – on Saturday in an

event renowned for its exposed and difficult terrain.

The men's race was won by Morgan Donnelly, of Borrowdale Fell Runners, and the women's by Anna Lupton, of Radcliffe Athletics Club, in Manchester.

The race is just over 23 miles. Saturday was the 56th time the event, which attracts runners from all over the country, has been held.
