POLICE are looking for a 20-year-old man after a refuse collector was shot with an air rifle, narrowly missing his eye.
The victim, who is in his 50s and works for Hull Council, was taken to hospital after being shot at from a nearby building in Action Close.
Police have released a 22-year-old man, who was arrested at the scene, on bail, pending further enquiries. But they say 20-year-old Anthony “Tony” Hall, who is believed to have been inside a property in Action Close at the time, may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Sergeant Simon Henrickson said the pellet had hit the victim just above the eye.
He said: “We are still speaking to witnesses and gathering evidence regarding this matter, and would ask anyone with information to call Humberside Police.”
