Tales of dog rescues end up in print
AN animal lover from Leeds, who has rescued and re-homed more than 300 dogs from across Europe, has written a book.
Tania Coates, a former pupil of Gateways School and Leeds College of Art, was travelling in her VW camper van around Spain with her own dog, when she was struck by the huge number of abandoned strays in the country. The 35-year-old founded SOS Animals UK, a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation, and has now written the story of what happened when she found a stray dog at the side of the road in Spain. Her new book Camper Vans, ex-pats and Spanish hounds, co-written with her husband Sam Morris, is now published.
