Talk by architecture firm’s founder

THE founder of a Hull-based architecture firm will give an insight into a project aimed at improving community spirit at the next meeting of “humberMUD”.

The meeting, which will be held at Fruit in Humber Street tomorrow night, is a networking event for people working in the creative industries and will hear from Richard Scott, the founder of Surface.

Mr Scott, who is also the design champion of Hull’s £400m Building Schools for the Future programme, will talk about “Revitalising Beverley Road”, which is examining how communities either side of the main arterial route can be brought together.

Other speakers will be drawn from a variety of creative and artistic disciplines, including the world of web, games and “app” design, marketing and PR.

Co-organiser Dave Windass said: “While it’s great to hear inspirational people like Richard Scott talk about their work, the speakers are just a part of what humberMUD is about. Our meetings present a great chance for people to meet those that work locally in the creative industries, share ideas, talk about projects, build creative teams and find project partners.”

The meeting starts at 6.30pm.
