On target for record breaking show

Organisers of this year's Countryside Live are on target for a record breaker with more entries in the competitive classes than ever. A total of 2,838 entries have been received for the autumn rural showcase at Harrogate's Great Yorkshire Showground on October 23 and 24.

Visitors will have the chance to participate in competitive archery. Pictured practising in the main ring are Yorkshire Agricultural Society staff: Jenny Robinson, livestock co-ordinator, George Hamilton, of Growing Routes, Shaun Casper, DFacilities manager, Deborah Goodall, marketing manager, Nigel Pulling, chief executive and Bill Cowling, show director.
