Teacher still in coma a year after attack

The cost of his Thai hospital care, medical repatriation and legal fees has so far reached about £130,000.

Fundraising efforts are continuing towards further legal fees and the cost of Adam’s future care and rehabilitation.

Mr and Mrs Pickles, who had to remortgage their home to meet up-front costs, urged anyone holidaying or working abroad to take out insurance and check clauses carefully after Adam’s insurer refused to pay out.
