Teenage tearaway given a two-year Asbo

A 15-YEAR-OLD troublemaker who caused a “significant nuisance” at a Hull school has been handed a two-year Asbo.

Dylan Peter Akester, from Cropton Road, Hull, had acted in a threatening way in public and caused criminal damage on Bricknell Avenue. His offending included theft and assaults as well as causing the nuisance at Kelvin Hall School.

He is now excluded from local shops, as well as the school and Wyke College site.

If he breaches any part of the order he could face a fine or term at a detention centre.

PC Richard Harrison from Wyke Neighbourhood Policing Team hoped the order would provide reassurance to the local community.

He said: “Dylan Akester has become a significant problem for the local community in the Bricknell Avenue area, displaying a wide range of anti-social behaviour.

“Various agencies in conjunction with the police have tried to work with him to rein in his behaviour, but Dylan has repeatedly failed to engage and take any notice.”

The constable added: “We were left with no alternative other than to apply for and obtain an Asbo.”
