Teenager in court over murder of Leeds dad Jordan Stapleton

Cyrus Hanley, 19, of Miles Hill View, Potternewton, Leeds, spoke only to confirm his name during a brief hearing at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

Mr Stapleton, 21, was found with a fatal gunshot wound in his home on Beckhill Chase, Meanwood, last Tuesday night.

Hanley was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court later this week.

During the weekend officers swooped on homes in Leeds and made a number of arrests. Police said this morning that all those arrested over the weekend had been released without charge.
