Teenager diesin lorry accident
A teenager died after apparently running into the road ahead of a lorry.
Thomas Playforth, 17, was killed when he was hit by a Scania lorry in Muglet Lane at Maltby, near Rotherham, on Friday evening. Police said that Thomas, who was from the area, “appeared to have run into the road”. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said the driver of the lorry had stopped and been questioned by police but had not been arrested.
