Teenager pulled from moped in Scarborough robbery

A 16-year-old was pulled from his moped and assaulted by man during a robbery in Scarborough.

Police are appealing for information regarding a incident which took place on Wednesday February 1.

A 16-year-old boy was riding his moped between 7.15pm and 7.35pm along Manham Hill, Eastfield in the direction of Cayton Low Road.

He pulled into a car park near the Musham Bank roundabout on the right hand side of the road, near to some flats.

The 16-year-old was then pulled from his moped and assaulted by an unknown man who was wearing dark clothing. The man continued to assault the boy and then went on to steal the outer and inner layer of the boys jacket.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may of witnessed anything suspicious or who has any information which would assist the investigation to contact them.
