Telecoms firm offers bundled services

TELECOMS firm KC has launched its first range of bundled phone and broadband services, which it said could save some customers almost £180 a year.

It means people who take one of the new packages of two or more services will benefit from a single bill and potentially pay less than if they bought the services separately.

The move follows a relaxing of rules preventing the Hull-based company offering the packages by industry regulator Ofcom.

KC's commercial and finance director, Sean Royce, said: "Our new bundles offer great value for money for local households and businesses, with the added benefit of a single bill with a single monthly payment.

"Many of our customers will see the monthly charge for their phone and broadband services go down by switching to a bundle.

"Many other customers will also pay less overall for their phone and broadband each month."

For consumers, the company has introduced bundled services which offer a KC Talk call plan and a Karoo fixed-line broadband service, with two bundles also including mobile broadband.

Priced from 29.99 per month, they offer high-speed broadband with monthly download allowances and benefits that include free local calls, free calls to national, 0845 and 0870 numbers, free calls to local directory enquiries and free landline to mobile minutes.

Businesses are being offered an "office bundle" from 43.50 a month.

This package includes a business phone line and business broadband, a "smart" number to ensure businesses never miss a call, 120 free landline to mobile minutes each month, a free domain name and a free wireless router.

KC said this bundle could save business customers more than 120 in call charges each year.

Companies can also choose to add mobile voice and mobile broadband to their bundles according to their needs.
