Ten million watch Who regeneration

More than 10 million people tuned in to watch David Tennant's last episode of Doctor Who, the BBC said.

The 10th Doctor was killed off during The End of Time episode, regenerating into the latest actor to take the role, Matt Smith. A BBC spokesman said an average of 10.4 million people (35.5 per cent of the total TV audience) watched Friday’s programme with a peak of 10.8 million. He said the BBC was “delighted” as it was thought to be the third highest viewing figure in recent years for Doctor Who.
