Tenants offered glimpse into future

TENANTS on a Hull estate today get their first chance to look at how their homes will be improved by their new landlord.

A total of 1,184 homes on North Bransholme were transferred from City Council control to the Liverpool-based Riverside Group Ltd in November, a move that will see significant investment in the area.

An exhibition featuring some of the kitchens and bathrooms that will be installed is being held at North Bransholme Community Centre today and tomorrow.

Other improvements being made by Riverside over the next five years include new front and back fencing, front and back doors and energy-efficient gas central heating and boilers.

Carl Mitchell, housing services manager at Riverside, said: "The product exhibition gives tenants and residents on North Bransholme a great opportunity to see the quality products and materials Riverside will be using in the regeneration programme.

"Within certain elements of the improvement works, tenants and residents will be able to choose which style and colour they like. The Riverside team will be available on the day to answer any questions."
