These boots are made for nesting

A FAMILY of wrens chose an usual home for themselves – inside a boot.

Don Nevison, of Halifax, was surprised to discover a family of wrens were nesting in an old boot in his back garden and he managed to capture them in this picture 
snugly fitted into the compact space.

“There were six chicks in total but we only ever managed to get five into a shot. All the chicks have now flown the nest and we hope they are surviving in our garden somewhere,” Mr Nevison added.
