Third manguilty of $2mkidnap plot

Hang Yu, 21, a takeaway owner from London, was yesterday convicted of being part of the plan to lure teenage student Lishui Wu to Huddersfield.

Two men Ting Fu Guo, 26, of no fixed abode, and his co-accused Qun Xue, 26, of Springdale Avenue, Thornton Lodge, Huddersfield, have already admitted conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to blackmail.

Mr Wu, whose parents run a shipping business in China, was studying in London when he was held hostage in West Yorkshire.

A sentencing hearing for the three men is expected before the end of next month in Leeds.
