Thousands join Facebook protest over A-level exam

THOUSANDS of A-level students have joined a Facebook campaign protesting about an "unfair" exam paper.

The AQA biology paper, which was sat on Monday, has sparked allegations from pupils that it was not relevant to what they had learned. So far, more than 3,000 people have joined the online group "The AQA unit 4 biology exam (25/1/2010) was a disgrace!"

Hundreds have posted messages, with some calling the paper "awful" and "ridiculous".

As spokesman for the OCR exam board said: "We will respond to any issues brought to our attention. However, candidates are strongly advised to check that the paper concerned was for an OCR examination and to raise such concerns through their school or college which will be able to contact the appropriate awarding body on their behalf."
