At the opening of an inquest into her death, it was stated that the teenager had visited a friend’s house on Hollyshaw Lane, Whitkirk, in the early hours of April 4.

While there, Aimee took a substance over a period that morning with friends.

But at 6.45pm that day she suffered a fit and an ambulance was called to the property, the inquest was told.

She was given emergency treatment by paramedics before being rushed to St James’s Hospital, Leeds, where her death was confirmed by doctors at 8.45pm.

The inquest was adjourned pending the completion of full toxicology tests and to await further police inquiries into the circumstances.
