Three arrests aftercash machine tip-off
Three hooded men were spotted acting suspiciously near a cash machine at Rydal Garage, Elvington, near York.
A passer-by raised the alarm and the men ran off towards Elvington village.
Three people were arrested in connection with the incident at 2am on Wednesday. They have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
