Three held over fatal Bradford hit-and-run

THREE people have been arrested after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in Bradford.

Officers were called to Manningham Lane, Bradford, at about 8.50am yesterday where they found a 59-year-old with serious injuries. He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary but died later.

West Yorkshire Police said it is believed the victim was hit by a white Seat Ibiza car which drove off immediately afterwards.

A silver Toyota Yaris is believed to have been driving with the Ibiza at the time of the incident. Both vehicles were later recovered and were forensically examined by specialists.

The Seat driver, a 21-year-old Bradford man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Two other Bradford men were held in connection with the incident.

A force spokesman said inquiries continue and appealed for witnesses or anyone else with information to come forward and contact officers involved in the investigation.
