Three held over murder of man, 27

The body of Dale Partington, 27, was found outside a house on St Lawrence Avenue, Snaith, Goole, just before 8am on Saturday.

Officers have arrested a 37-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, all from the Snaith area.

A post-mortem examination revealed the victim had been stabbed.

The St Lawrence Avenue address and a further address on Chestnut Close, Snaith have been cordoned off for forensic inquiries.

The incident is being investigated by a team of detectives led by Detective Chief Inspector Matt Hutchinson.

He said: “My thoughts are with the family of Dale Partington at this terribly sad time and specially trained officers are with his family, offering support, during this difficult time.

“We have arrested three people for murder but we have a lot more enquiries to do in order to establish Dale’s whereabouts and what happened to him leading to his body being discovered and I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us.”
