Three injured in two car smash in South Yorkshire

An 86 year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a car crash in Doncaster.

He was taken to hospital following the accident involving two cars on the A6182 Great Yorkshire Way, around half a mile from the junction with the A638 Great North Road, at 7.30pm last night (Sunday).

South Yorkshire Police say it involved a black Skoda Fabia and a silver Ford Ka. The pensioner was a passenger in the Skoda. The driver, a 42-year-old man, and the driver of the Ford, also 42, both suffered minor injuries.
