Three people in twenties pulled from River Ouse in York

THREE PEOPLE in their twenties have been rescued from the River Ouse in York.

Firefighters from York and Acomb were called to the Ouse Bridge in the city centre shortly after 4am today, where two women and a man, all in their twenties were in the river.

The fire and rescue service boat was deployed in the rescue.

A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews rescued all three and they were left in the hands of paramedics for further checks."
